Professional standards in practice

Client choice

Explain options, responsibilities, costs, and limits. Respect the consumer’s choice to learn, wait, seek another provider, or choose a different service model.

Scope and competence

Work within your licence, jurisdiction, property expertise, and capacity. Obtain brokerage direction and qualified help when a matter falls outside your competence.

Clear communication

Separate evidence from assumptions. Confirm understanding, conflicts, compensation, next steps, and written service expectations.

Accountability

Acknowledge receipt immediately. The proposed standard is initial contact within 24 calendar hours and an actionable next step within 72 calendar hours. Preferred targets are 3 and 48 hours. Operational and brokerage review must address time zones and declared availability.

Lead return

Accept only work you can competently manage. Decline or return promptly if you cannot meet the agreed standard. Do not pass a lead to another agent yourself. Return it through the system for consent and brokerage review.

Professional boundaries

Education and a course acknowledgement do not replace regulatory duties, brokerage supervision, required disclosures, or written representation agreements.

Planned professional pathway

Preparation before approval.

  1. Express interest using the existing contact page, without sending client information.
  2. Future application: verify licence, brokerage, service area, property competence, capacity, and required permissions.
  3. Complete applicable learning and acknowledge the professional standards.
  4. Review brokerage approval, privacy, conflicts, service scope, and referral requirements.
  5. Receive a separate approval decision and periodic review. Approval would be limited to a defined scope and could be withdrawn.

Application processing and automated agent approval are not active. No leads are promised and no agent is certified by course completion.
